Dallas Stars Foundation

Mission:

The Dallas Stars Foundation was established to serve as a positive force throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The Foundation focuses its efforts on providing support to the children of the community so they may lead quality lives and develop into contributing members of society. Through teamwork, interaction, and education, the Dallas Stars Foundation works to bring together all members of the Metroplex and build a bright future for today's youth.

Grantmaking Objectives:

The Dallas Stars Foundation supports organizations with the following interests in our local community:

Youth Sports - Organizations that provide youth with quality physical activity programs in an effort to encourage exercise, teamwork, goal setting, and a healthy substance-free lifestyle.

Children’s Programs - Organizations dedicated to funding research, disseminating information and treating children’s illnesses, as well as providing support to patients during their sickness.

Family Support- Organizations that support families in crisis by providing food, shelter, recovery counseling, and/or programs that encourage communication and stability within the home.

Educational Programs - Organizations dedicated to enriching children’s lives and equipping them for the future by promoting literacy and career guidance.

Grant applications will be accepted all year long with an annual application deadline of May 1st of each calendar year. Grant decisions will be mailed within eight weeks following the May 1st deadline.  Grant recipients are not eligible to receive another Foundation grant for a period of one year following grant receipt, and there is no guarantee of repeat support. Grants are not made to organizations that have a perceived business connection with the primary mission of the Dallas Stars Foundation.
