San Jose Sharks Foundation
The Sharks Foundation is dedicated
to meeting the educational, social and cultural needs of our community.
It offers unique resources and financial support to those organizations
that enhance the lives of local youth. Although the San Jose Sharks and
The Sharks Foundation support a variety of community programs on
various levels, we feel that the key to the long-term well-being of our
community is our youth.
To qualify for a grant from The Sharks Foundation, an organization must:
Important to note: The Sharks Foundation will not fund any organization for more than three consecutive years. If your group has been funded for each of the past three seasons, you must wait one year before reapplying.
The Sharks Foundation grant must benefit youth or youth and their families, with special emphasis towards underserved populations and at-risk youth. It must be applied to the costs associated with a specific project or programming element of an organization. Those which may also provide volunteer opportunities for Sharks staff and employees are highly desirable, but not required.

Many organizations apply for grants each year and the overall amount of funding requested far exceeds The Sharks Foundation’s resources. Declined applications in no way reflect the worthiness of an organization’s mission or programming and these groups are encouraged to apply again in future years.
