Mission:
The
Nashville Predators Foundation's aim and desire is succinctly expressed in the
organization's mission statement:
The Nashville Predators
Foundation strives to meet the educational, social, health and cultural needs
of our community by offering unique resources and financial support to local
youth-oriented organizations.
The Nashville Predators Foundation was created, a 501 (c)(3)
charity organization devoted to funneling the excitement of professional sports
towards the needs of this community. Since its establishment, the Nashville
Predators Foundation has indeed made a significant impact on the Middle
Tennessee community.
Grantmaking Objectives:
- An organization
must be a 501(c)(3) organization or government agency serving the Nashville or Middle
Tennessee area.
- The
focus of the project or program request should be youth related.
- Foundation
grants may range from $500 to a maximum of $10,000 annually.
- Specific
projects with specific funding are more likely to be funded.
- The
Foundation will award grants for capital expenditures, for specific projects
and one-time programs, but NOT for operational expenses of an organization or
funding of staff.
- Foundation
grants are reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors, which consists of
individuals from the Nashville community and team representatives.
