San Francisco Giants/Giants Community Fund

Mission:

The mission of the San Francisco Giants is to represent innovation, professionalism, and excellence on and off the field.  We are dedicated to serving our customers, providing a high quality entertainment experience, and enhancing our value as a community asset.

Giants Community Relations Department programs include:

Take Me Out to the Ballgame: The San Francisco Giants provides deserving nonprofit agencies and community groups with the opportunity to obtain complimentary tickets to a Giants home game.

In-Kind Donation Policy: The Giants provide fundraising assistance to thousands of organizations annually in the form of in-kind donations.

Oracle Read to Win Program: We supportthe efforts of the individual summer reading programs at libraries in five Bay Area counties by providing incentive prizes and literacy based messages to the more than 60,000 youth participants.

Community Clubhouse:  During the baseball season, our Community Clubhouse (located at AT&T Park) is available for use by Bay Area community organizations to raise awareness and educate Giants fans about their particular focus or cause.

The Giants Community Fund uses baseball as a forum to encourage youngsters and families to live healthy, productive lives.  The Fund supports Junior Giants summer leagues throughout Northern California, Nevada and Oregon and collaborates with the efforts of the San Francisco Giants to provide assistance to targeted community efforts in the areas.

Giants Community Fund programs include:

Junior Giants Baseball: Our non-competitive program places a higher value on character than on wins and losses.  By providing training, uniforms and equipment at no cost, Junior Giants allows over 13,000 children in 75 leagues in underserved communities unfettered access to physical fitness and team play.

Junior Giants Scholars: Each year, the Giants Community Fund awards 10 scholarships to participants of the Junior Giants Program.  Scholars are selected on the basis of leadership, character and academic potential.

CHW Health Fairs: Through a partnership with Catholic Healthcare West, we are committed to funding various health fairs each year in the Bay Area that provide screenings, nutrition tips and awareness materials.
