Astros In Action Foundation (Houston Astros)

Mission:

The goal of the Astros in Action Foundation is to promote, encourage and support youth educational and physical activities in and around our community. Through the strength of the National Pastime, we will enhance the quality of life in our community through educational, health, and spiritual endeavors. Whenever the call for help has gone out, the Astros in Action Foundation has responded. Over the past three years alone, the foundation has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to such worthy causes as assisting the victims of Tropical Storm Allison and the 9/11 attacks, helping the Enron Employee Transition Fund, and endowing the Houston Astros Adolescent Patient Waiting Area at M.D. Anderson Cancer Hospital.

Grantmaking Objectives:

We support the efforts of non-profit organizations or programs related to: Literacy, Education/ Scholarships, Health Issues, Faith Based Organizations, and Reviving Baseball in the Inner City.
