Atlanta Hawks Foundation

Mission:

The Atlanta Hawks Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life of Georgia youth by inspiring them to develop a passion for learning and a commitment to physical fitness and recreation. By creating programs and forging partnerships with local agencies, the foundation continues to impact the lives of Georgia's young people.

We take pride in giving back to the city where our fans live, work and play. Through our constant dedication, it is our goal to continue showing our hearts to the Atlanta community and welcoming fans to our family.

Grantmaking Objectives:

To make a meaningful impact, the Foundation has chosen to support the following three focus areas: youth education, youth fitness and community enrichment. Since the Atlanta Hawks Foundation receives funding requests far in excess of its budget, worthy causes may be declined when even when the request falls into one of the three focus areas.

The Atlanta Hawks Foundation makes grants to nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code that fall within the foundation’s mission.

EXCLUSIONS – The Atlanta Hawks Foundation does not support the following:

Non tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations
Endowments
Endowed Faculty Chairs
Individuals
Indirect Costs
Building/Capital Programs
Fundraising events, sponsorships
Capital and endowment campaigns
Organizations that advocate religious beliefs or restrict participation on the basis of religion
Multi-year pledge requests
Organizations outside of the state of Georgia
Organizations requesting goodwill advertising for fundraising benefits and program books
Fundraising events such as raffles, walkathons and auctions
