Miami Heat Charitable FundMission:
The Miami HEAT Charitable Fund, established in 1997, is
comprised of the HEAT "family" including HEAT players, coaches,
wives, and staff. While embedding its presence within the South Florida
community, the HEAT Family Outreach has been able to generate critical dollars
through unique fundraising opportunities for the betterment of at risk
families. It is our conviction that as our fans and youth support and
believe in us, it is equally important that we give back to them and the
community. The primary beneficiaries for the Miami HEAT Charitable Fund include
Jackson Memorial Foundation's Guardian Angels, which supports the Holtz Center
for critically ill children, SafeSpace, a domestic violence shelter for women
and their children, and the Miami Coalition for a Safe and Drug-Free Community,
a broad based community organization committed to reducing drug abuse, addiction,
and related social issues. The HEAT Family Outreach helps to provide the opportunity
for quality education through annual Miami HEAT Scholarships awarded to local
high school seniors. It also funds the after-school inner-city elementary
mentoring program, HEAT Academy, in conjunction with the NBA Cares initiative.
The Miami HEAT Charitable Fund works to continuously inspire our youth to
envision their dreams and achieve their goals. Miami HEAT Family Festival Golf Tourney HEAT Golf Scramble Golf Classic
