COF Philanthropy Summit Offers Early Bird Registration Rate to SPP Partners Until March 14th

SPP will present a sports philanthropy track at the upcoming Philanthropy Summit hosted by the Council on Foundations (COF) in Washington, DC. The Summit, scheduled for from May 4-7, 2008, will bring together community foundations, family foundations, corporate foundations and others for the largest annual national conference within the field of philanthropy. The sports philanthropy track will cover topics including:

  • Tackling Emerging Issues in Sports Philanthropy
  • Sports and Community Working Together
  • Individual and Corporate Social Responsibility in Professional Sports
  • The Changing Demographics of Sports and Philanthropy
  • Harnessing the Power of Sports for Change

COF has extended their special early bird member registration fee of $895 to eligible SPP partners, including athlete and team community relations staff.  You may also attend at this rate if you represent a professional athlete or work for a sports league or player association.  The early bird deadline is March 14th, 2008.  Be sure to mention SPP on your registration form.  Contact Alisha Greenberg with any questions.
