Boston Red Sox Receives Inaugural Commissioner's Award for Philanthropic Excellence

The Boston Red Sox received the first Commissioner's Award for Philanthropic Excellence yesterday during MLB's industry meetings.  SPP was on hand for the ceremony, in which Commissioner "Bud" Selig spoke passionately about MLB's charitable work at the league and all 30 Clubs.  Red Sox Chairman Tom Werner accepted the award on behalf of the team.
