SPP Executive Director Greg Johnson will be a featured speaker at the 37th annual conference of the Central Council of Physical Recreation (CCPR), the UK's national alliance of governing and representative bodies of sport and recreation. CCPR's 280 members represent 150,000 clubs across the UK and some 8 million regular participants.

The purpose of the conference is to find solutions to the increased burdens on sports organizations in the current economy, as well as challenge delegates to work within the current financial pressures to continue to promote and provide for sport and recreation.

Other speakers at the conference include BBC sports broadcaster Eleanor Oldroyd; Jeremy Beeton, Director General of the Government Olympic Executive (the UK governmental entity responsible for the funding, management and coordination of London's 2012 Olympics); and Dan Jones, Partner in the Sports Business Group at Deloitte, one of the world's best known consulting, financial advisory, and risk management firms.
