Van Le

Assistant Director and Counsel

Van P. Le serves as SPP's Assistant Director and Counsel.  For nearly a decade, Van has provided strategic philanthropic advice regarding the setup, implementation and evaluation of foundations and CR departments of professional sports teams/leagues from MLB, NFL, NBA and MLS.  Van's expertise lies in human service programming, particularly in areas of youth health and education.  Prior to his work with SPP, Van was an associate with the Boston law firm of Ropes & Gray, where he practiced in the areas of public finance and venture capital. Van was president of the Phillips Brooks House Association, a public service organization, at Harvard University, and subsequently received a Michael C. Rockefeller fellowship to work with refugee children in South East Asia. Van graduated cum laude from Harvard University in 1989 with an undergraduate degree in East Asian Studies, and received his juris doctor from Northeastern University in 1996. Van was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in December 1996.
